There are plenty of options when it comes to labels. Let Press & Release help you find the one that fits your brand—and your budget.
Printed Labels typically include your brand/logo, garment size (if applicable), and care instructions. The method for printing labels can vary depending on garment, design, and personal preference.
- Screen Printed
- Can be used for most garments
- One color designs ONLY
- $1.00 ea.
- Heat Press
- Used for inside of fleece garments and other difficult to print materials
- Ability to use multi-color designs
- Cost varies, but has a higher price than screen printed labels
Woven Labels are sewn into garments and offer a classier look. Our team will help you format your artwork for the best finished product.
- Can be applied to more garments than printed labels (ex: knit beanies)
- Small hem tags are a great option for subtle branding
- Many options for size, shape, and colors
- Cost varies, but has a higher price than printed labels
Hang Tags are great for retail, and offer additional opportunities to communicate your brand values.
Although tag prints/hang tags are add ons, they typically do not increase the turnaround time on most orders. You should still expect your order to be completed in our standard turnaround time of 10 to 15 business days. First-time purchasers of woven labels and hang tags may see longer turnarounds to account for the original set-up.
Screen Printed Labels: The cost for tag removal/printing is $1.00 per garment. Please note, not all garments allow for tag removal/printing. If this is something you’re interested in, we typically suggest using garments with tear away tags.
Heatpress Labels: The cost of heat pressed labels depends on the print size, number of colors in the tag, and the total quantity ordered. Since these are printed in sheets, it is often beneficial to order more than needed for future use. This lowers the cost for future orders, as you’re only paying for the application.
Woven Labels: The cost of woven labels depends on the size of the label, the location, and the total quantity ordered. Typically woven labels are ordered in bulk, and saved for future use. This means there’s often a higher cost the first time your order labels, but less of a cost on subsequent orders since you’re only paying for the application.
Hang Tags: The cost of hang tags depends on on the hang tag size, shape, print method, application method, and the total quantity ordered. If you plan on using them for multiple projects, it’s a good idea to order the tags in bulk.
We aren’t especially picky, but when it comes to your design, we do prefer vector files — and so should you. Vectors (.ai, .eps, .svg) allow your image to scale infinitely without taking a hit on quality. If your design isn’t in the vector format, no need to worry, our design team will happily assist you!
